Hawkeye_Joe
My local gunshop has a pre-86 not export or Leo marked "L" drum for sale. the price is $300.00 if anyone here wants it I'll pick it up and ship it ....I've taken it apart and checked it out.. it is one of the good ones.. not a new Khar manuf. the metal is heavy duty and it looks brand new..I'd buy it myself but I have two now and really don't need another.. full auto 45
See if they'll take $250 for it. That's what they sold for at the Knob Creek show.

Z3BigDaddy
Well I paid $500 for my third gen Colt drum last year, doesn't make it the going price..... But hey maybe he'll take the $250 all you can do is ask.... I would pay the 3 bills if I wasn't knee deep in drums.... Like I told Junior if I can get them for $250.00 I would be waist deep in drums.......
TM76
Like Mike said I bought a preband Ldrum at KnobCreek, EXPORT AND LAW ENFORCEMENT ONLY was marked on the back ,perfect con. and runs great I paid $275 for it and well worth the money, for a Ldrum shooter . This demo. was setting on the NUMRICH parts table , I looked at it and told them I wanted it ,they gave me a new one that was already in a box unopen,I open the box to inspect it and here it was the new Khar drums, just like I seen last year at the Creek. It was burnt looking, off color, finish was awful looking, rim of the can was ripple and it look cheap. I told them I wanted the Demo. instead and thats how I got it. No way would I have paid $275.00 or anything for a Khar drum. Also at another table where they sold two tommy (21A) guns that day,one for $25,000/$30,000. I got a Lyman sight in perfect con. for $300.00 also picked up a Springfield M1Gurand that I was looking for. It was a good day at the Creek, I got a shooters pass that day ,for the first time, I let Chris and Mike use it also. Mike did you get to shoot that Sunday ? I don't know why , I didn't think to shoot my M1 there ( Daaa) See Ya Tino
Z3BigDaddy
Wait a second.... The price went up 25 bucks and it turned into a LEO drum???? Don't know how that makes it even preban.... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif Like Paul Harvey says... "and now for the....... rest of the story...."
TM76
Thats what they were selling for, and I thought LEO drums were prebans,( my mistake,)it wasn't a KHAR and I was satisfide. See Ya Tino
full auto 45
I thought it was $250, but $275 ain't bad either. And yes Tino's drum was marked L.E. or export only. I did get to the shoot on Sunday for a hour or so. Not much left there. I did shoot some video of the guns. Nothing outstanding.
Z3BigDaddy
Hey Mike just givin ya some grief..... But my main point is that a Westie drum is well worth 3 bills any day of the week.... You can't say a LEO drum is a good buy at $275, and then say a Westie is not worth 25 bucks more. I tried to buy this one, but another board member grabbed it which is great, I don't really need six drums anyhow and would have probably resold it for the same price here..... I do the same with car parts quite often.... You know try to keep it in the family. Junior says he'll sell them to me for $250 but he hasn't come up with any so far..... And kudos to Hawk for giving a heads up to the board.... That is what makes message boards great.... If you don't want it, pass on the oporntunity...... full auto 45
I know you were just joshin' me. If I hadn't bought that A3 .22 today, I would have been on that drum. I think I need to change my little title under my name to drum whore.
sten guy
The first Kahr drums I saw were very rough. Sharp edges would cut you ( no joke ). I bought one a while ago for 215.00 Do you think I got ripped??? I does seem to be better made than most I've seen. STEN
full auto 45
Thanks Phil. I had one years ago and traded it for a WWII Colt pistol. I think I did good in that trade as I only had a couple hundred in the A3. Been wanting another since. When I get it, I'll let you know if it shoots. Arthur Fliegenheimer
For .22 fun nothing beats a Tippman mini belt fed Browning.
full auto 45
Arty that is true, the Tippmans are fun. One .22 that was a ball to shoot was the AK-22. The old trainer AK-47 in .22 in FA. Now that is just way to much fun. OldFalGuy
You mean to say that guy with the 2 reblued Colt's actually sold them for that kind of green (25k & 30k) or was that just his "suggested" price?
sten guy
There was another guy there that had 2 Colt's. A '21a and a navy. Probably the one's that sold... These didn't appear to be re-finished.. STEN
TM76
Sten was right , them 21's were not re-finished that were sold, thats the table( Walter's) that I got my Lyman sight from. He wants a good buck for his Thompson parts, but its good stuff. Mike you got a picture of that A3-22 you can post See Ya Tino
OldFalGuy
Damn, I left Knob Creek on Saturday I guess Walter sold them the next day I emailed him earlier this week to say I would like the 21A but knew he would be out of touch for a couple of weeks. Reckon I missed it it was a nice one but there were indeed 2 on an end table that were refinished. Mark
