Problem Removing My Tmsg Clip.

Recommended Posts

I was hoping someone could help me. Upon receiving my TSMG I was checking everything out and seeing how everything slid together and worked. I slid the stick magazine in just to see how everything clicked together.

Upon slapping it it and inspecting everything the clip will not come out. It is of course empty I just wanted to see how everything went together. But, now it is stuck and will not budge. I didn't have much prior knowledge about the gun before I got it, but I thought if it slid in, it would certainly slide right out. However, that doesn't seem to be the case.

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea as to why it won't come back out. It's kind of irritating. lol! I checked the faq and all that but, did not seem to find anything to help me. So forgive me if this issue has ever been discussed.

The TSMG I bought reads MODEL OF 1927 AI NO: KA1097

Thanks a ton if anyone has any suggestions.

EDIT: I also meant to type TSMG in my post topic... not Tmsg. lol! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Sir-Perhaps with the magazine being empty-That you might have dropped the bolt on the empty magazine, thus making the bolt place pressure on the "hold open" feature of the magazine? If so, lock the action back and drop the magazine out. Of course the magazine release must be pushed for the magazine to unlock from its cache. If this is not it-You've been Kahr'd Jimmy

Well, I still can't get it out. I'm going to have to sit down and take a closer look later. I might just be an idiot or something. Thanks for the reply.

Better watch yourself this is a dangerous group, and that statement is free ammo..... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/dry.gif

Just don't try to force anything.... Did the mag come with the gun?

Yeah, it came with it. It's almost like after it clicked it, whatever clicked won't release it. I don't get it. If it slides right in I'd assume it would slide right back out. I don't know. lol! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif

Here is where I am currently at...

This piece is currently stuck right here. I can slide it back the little way more that it will go. But, it won't go forward and return to it's original position.

I'm going to try to start simply without sounding condecsending....

What are you doing "Exactly" with the Mag Catch? You are pushing it up with your thumb right?

If this is a Kahr then the oblong mag catch hole in the Mag may just be not high enough and it is not releasing... perhaps if you push the mag in hard then operate the mag catch hold it in the released position and pull the mag down and out?

I think you are trying to "slide" it out without pressing up on the release... You can't just slide it in and slide it out... I locks into place until you manually release it...

Slaping? Did you drive the mag home with your hand and jamm it up into the frame? Perhaps it is caught on a burr or poorly machined mag way and is now just stuck. If it don't go easy don't make it go hard. EVERY Army manual states clearly that you shouold never 'drive the magazine home smartly with the free hand'.

Push straight up on the mag catch lever to the rear of the trigger guard and pull down on the mag at the same time.

NoI didn't like slam it in like overly hard. I slid it in and gave it a push a little push until it clicked into place. I didn't like smash it in.

Okay, I got it! Turns out the trigger guard was just stuck a little and I really had to push. Must have caught or something when I first put the clip in. Thanks for all the replies guys! I was planning to give this gun to my Dad as a suprise... and I couldn't very well be like "Here Dad, suprise... oh by the way it's jammed and doesn't work!" lol! Thanks everyone for the help! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

You may not want to retire this statement yet, you may be dusting it off for future use. Good luck, http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif with it-Adlake
