philasteen
NFA Market Board WTS: COLT C-DRUM #198. TOTALLY ORIGINAL 11.5K Posted By: Rick Rinzler in MI (24-236-254-239.dhcp.aldl.mi.charter.com) Date: 11/9/05 19:17 This is one of the lowest numbered c-drums I've seen. #198. Matching. ABSOLUTELY original!!! This drum has a nice patina on the front cover, along with some on the back. No, there's no rust or pitting....simply an aging patina; adding to its authenticity as original and NOT tampered with. No dents, dings, etc. The interior demonstrates some minor bullet marks and tracks, as I'm sure "someone" must have shot with this at some point over the last 80+ years. The rotor is original nickel, and has NOT been buffed or messed with. A truly historical piece, and a pinnacle of my personal collection. These drums just don't surface these days, especially in THIS condition with THIS low number. If you're an avid collector, I don't need to tell you what an opportunity this is. (I'm not a dealer, just a C&R collector who needs to liquidate a few things for higher aspirations.) http://www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/nfa4sale....cgi?read=66244
kilroyjones
Does the drum come attached to a 1921 Colt? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif
John Jr
Same dude has a parts kit with a colt TSMG for only 7.5K. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif The stupidity will never end. Arthur Fliegenheimer
I'm supposed to be the worst Colt whore of the highest magnitude, as considered by JJ, but $11.5K for a C drum, matching low serial number or not, is not only a baseless pie on the sky figure, but insures that the next owner would never shoot it for fear of breakage or even the chance they may drop it while shooting it. This guy is almost double the figure for similar Colt C drums. He claims not to be a dealer, only a collector. It sure seems he is over qualified to be a dealer with that price. On the other hand, $7.5k for a complete Colt TSMG minus receiver is not outrageous. Thank God I can now reclaim my title.
