RonO
My 1928 Savage metal stock mount is loose on the trigger frame. Can this be tightened any way so as not to rattle? The wood butt stock is tight to the metal.
gijive
They are made that way, they all have some play in them. Even the original Colt made guns have play.
Roland the Thompsongunner
This play bothhered me too. I took a piece of masking tape and placed a piece on the bottom of the reciever where the stock slides on, then gently ease it on so the tape does not bunch up. It makes my stock real tight with hardly any wobble and it doesnt hurt the gun any and can be removed easily. Dan
full auto 45
I saw a guy that had thin strips of brass to take up the slack.
Mk VII
I recall examining one of the duralamin frame 1928 guns many years ago and that one was loose too
TSMGguy
A small hunk of neoprene cut to size and placed into the back of the channel works like a charm for me.
