Ron Mills
I just remembered, #6 (Model of 1919) is in the Rock Island Armory Museum. Maybe they get the prize... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif
Cheesebeast
I own Savage M1 214x. Oddly it has the same serial number in two places on the lower receiver- one in the "usual" spot where the pistol grip meets the trigger guard, and one hidden underneath the rear stock (where the 1928 models with removable stocks were marked).
