Uncommon Valor

Recommended Posts

I watched "Uncommon Valor" with Gene Hackman last night and there was a good bit of Thompson action in it. Had at least three 1928's thought I saw one "L" sight possibly one M1A1. They removed the comps so somtimes it was hard to see if they were switching them around. And Patrick Swayze was using a BAR. Pretty cool stuff..

I saw it a few times as a kid and back then they were all just guns.

I watched it again a few years ago and funny how the perspective has change and now they were not guns but each unique individuals.

The movie actually became more fun to watch.

I saw Uncommon Valor the other night. It is funny how one's perspective changes with time. I think I was 16 or so when I first saw the movie in '84. I knew at the time what the guns were, but I never noticed the "little things" like I do now. I noticed the other night that the M1928A1 (I'm guessing on that one) that Blaster had on the bridge didn't seem to have any rear sights at all! Movie guns are a hoot sometimes, aren't they?
