deerslayer
Did someone post that Kahr is now making new 1928's for law enforcement or export? Seems like I read that here but can't find it now. Dan
LIONHART
Dan, that's correct. Suppose to be available torwards the end of this year.
fred
If that's true, it is good. Keeps the Tommy Gun legend going.
Arthur Fliegenheimer
As long as its Kahr who manufactures new "Thompsons", then it is assured that Thompson will remain a legend and not a contemporary product.
catnipman
I wonder if Kahr's new 1928's will function any better than their 1927A1's?
deerslayer
This is one of those retorical questions, but if a new kahr 28 was exported and then the receiver "cut up" could it be sent back? It wouldn't be a lend lease or U.S. military arm so would that be OK. Dan
The1930sRust
I wonder if they are " to spec"? That is, are they using old GI parts, or have they geared up to remake all the old parts? I can't wait to hear the details regarding this endeavour. Wonder if maybe they have a gun with the exterior of a 28 but with some sort of oddball slamfire innard? Zoo
Maybe I'm missing something, but doesn't the M1A1 using a "slamfire" system? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/huh.gif

Grey Crow
Awesome! Now they still need to learn wood working. But they are moving toward the right direction.
Arthur Fliegenheimer
They now make an SBR, but without a detachable stock? The gun still looks like some kind of inbred marriage between a 1928 and an M1.
full auto 45
The M1 carbine looks very nice. Hell I may even buy one. But I hate putting money into the hands of Moonies. After all the owner is the son of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, the head of the cult, the Unification Church. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ph34r.gif
Bob
Wow, an Auto Ordnance M1 carbine.....I have one but it's a rock-n-roller! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Sgt
Hey, how about that non-functional Kahr display model! Actually, that is nothing new. They've been selling non-functional Kahrs for a long time. I couldn't resist.
Bisley45
full auto 45 Aside from the woodwork is deformed on that M1, you might be better off getting one of the IMI (Isralil Military Industrys) M1 Carbines. I've seen them and watched one go to town with a couple of my 30's. My poor Standard Products M1 Carbine I think either needs a new trigger housing or retraining a a collectors item. If the Khar M1 is as reliable as the Khar Thompson out of the box you would be money ahead. Fencer
I had wondered why Kahr did not offer the guns with the 10.5" barrels and just have the transfer tax up front. I mean geeze, who would buy one with a 16" barrel when a 10.5" barreled one is offered. Oh yeah, sorry.. I forgot about Michigan.. Seriously though, has anyone heard how much they are going to run?? Thanks, Kenneth "Fencer" Cook PS. To all concerned, I obviously survived my spinal neck surgery. I also appear to be alot better. My Doctor, who was just named top neurosurgeon in Indianapolis by his peers, was outstanding. PPSS. PK, I will be in touch soon.
