Interview With Atf Agent

Recommended Posts

Lionhart, thanks for sharing that interview. I can honestly say that I agree with 95% of what was said (communicated) by both Mr. Baker and Mr. Guy (the ATF Bogeyman http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif). I think that every member of this board could profit from reading this. If anything, the information and opinions offered underscore the fragile nature of democracy and our 'inalienable' civil and human rights. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif Become politically engaged and 'vote early and often' (not in the same election of course http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif ), where your gun and other civil rights are concerned and/or threatened. If you do not choose this middle ground, of political engagement, then your only other choices are anarchy or tyranny!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif Regards, Walter

Greetings,

In the last couple days I have recorded a huge increase in traffic on my site at the "Interview With The Bogeyman" document and, through my server, traced a lot of it here.

I haven't written a 2AM article in a few years now, but I wanted to stop by, after seeing the few comments posted concerning this interview with Jess Guy, and say thanks for the endorsments on it. I did that interview in my former position as "List Chaplain" of the Second Amendment PD (In Cyberspace) right in the middle of Clinton's second term (if I recall). Those were very tenuous times and we were at the point of letting the "powers that be" know they were, well, pissing off the wrong people.

I don't know if it had an impact, but I would like to believe it did. Yes, I know it's "old" now, but truth is eternal and the things we addressed are certanly timeless.

Mr. Guy still posts from time to time at the 2AMPD list at YahooGroups. You can join it from my Second Amendment page, if you ever have a question for an ex-ATF agent who, as a lawyer now, really knows his stuff!

Thanks for the link to my interview! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/style_images/1/icon1.gif

Mr. Baker, welcome to the machinegunbooks.com website. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif There are often interesting discussions concerning the Second Amendment at this website, but this site primarily concerns itself with all aspects of submachineguns and machineguns (with a very strong emphasis on the Thmnpson). I have further explored your website today. It is excellent!! : http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif I'll have to do a little more reading. You will find many law enforcement and military types are members here. I happen to be an educator, but there are lawyers, gunsmiths, and people from many other walks of life here who have been bitten by the 'Thompson bug'. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif Best regards, Walter

Thanks, Walter!

I haven't been around a gun forum in quite a while (long story). Kind of on a personal hiatus, focusing on other things. The Clinton years on the Federal level, as well as the political landscape in California, can really burn out a Second Amendment writer real quick.

My interests have always fallen more to the political and moral aspects of gun ownership and the 2AM, so I'm not a real "techie" on firearm's types and performance. I've had a few articles printed in the California Rifle and Pistol Association's magazine "The Firing Line" (the California arm of the NRA), plus regular mail to myriad cultural institutions and all levels of government reps -- with regular mail back.

Haven't been too productive lately, though. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/style_images/1/icon2.gif

But thanks for the welcome, nonetheless! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif

Welcome MBaker!, Over the weekend I visited your Site, and after reading your interview, I felt that I should post it here, for EVERYONE to read. Even though as Walter pointed out this particular page from Machinegunbooks.com has to do with the Thompson SMG, if it wasn't for OUR Second Amendment, none of us would be able to own anything! Again, welcome aboard!
