Now when you Start a New Topic, or Reply to an existing one... you can upload a picture, the MAX size is 100k so get out your photo editing software and resize those 5MB pics!!! 100k is the limit!! (no it won't allow you to upload larger files, so don't bother)

When you start the topic or reply you will notice (under the smiley icons) there is a button called BROWSE, click it to load an image from your hard drive upto the server.. (Please keep it to GUN RELATED PICS ONLY) no Mike, Harley pics don't count ) Chose your image from your drive, type your post and submit.. OH AVOID SPACES WHEN YOU NAME YOUR IMAGES!! Run it all together tommygun.jpg or underscore it tommy_gun.jpg

Well, here is one I just found hanging out there in cyberspace! The guy who posted it on his website claims it is an all original 1921a and that the FBI case is original. The location is self-explanatory. The photo was taken in 1975. He has since sold the gun and deeply regrets it. I wonder if he is a member of this board. He should be! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif Regards, Walter

I've seen this guy's website. He is sorry he sold the 1921A. He believes he could get $40K for it today.... Well, at least $20K. The case looks 100% reproduction. There are really very few FBI/Police cases from the 1930's. But many were made in the 1960's/70's and claimed to be originals by the fabricator and then that is the belief of subsequent owners. Probably better to pay $500 for a known replica case, then pay $2,500 for a difficult to authenticate "original" case.

Arthur,

Isn't this the guy whose wife just passed away? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif He said that him and his wife spent hours looking for this monument in the middle of the night back in 1975. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif If I remember correctly, his wife was from Memphis, TN.

The '21 in the picture may not draw $40,000 (yet!), but it sure is a beutiful gun. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif

Arthur, I believe you are right about the case. When I first saw the case, I thought it must be a reproduction. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif Regards, Walter

P.S. I'm still marveling at how easy it is to upload photos now. Thanks Nick!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif

"There are submachineguns, and then there are submachineguns.

But there is NO submachinegun on earth like a 1921 Colt Thompson Submachinegun." PROKEY

He is sure right about that!!! Being a German Shepherd lover/owner, it is difficult to look at the photos of his deceased pups. I have had a couple of my Sheps come to the end of the road also. My current Czech Republic male Shep is a true soul mate, just like my female Shep was before she cashed in her chips. I guess certain people are drawn to Shepherds and Colt TSMG's.
