20th Annual All Thompson Show And Shoot - Newark Ohio

Recommended Posts

All,

This is final call for the 20th Annual All Thompson Show and Shoot in Newark, Ohio in 2 weeks. (August 5 & 6, 2011) The shoot is hosted by the Tracie Hill family, and The American Thompson Association. If you want to attend, you could still make a last minute move to do so. You can let me know, or TD.(President of TATA) know, and we will contact Tracie to arrange last minute details.

You have to be a member of T.A.T.A. to attend, however you can still join prior to the event. Forms, and more information can be found at the following site:

I look forward to the weekend in the Newark/Granville, OH area all year long. If you've attended before, you know what I'm talking about. If you've never attended, you really should consider it. It's always an awesome weekend, and being the 20th anniversary, it is sure to be one to remember.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in 2 weeks!

Well I'm really excited to be coming! This event has been on my "bucket list" for a long time. Tracie has 500 rounds of 45ACP waiting for me there. Since I'm not bringing a gun from Canuckistan I really hope I'll find a friend with a "loaner"! I can hardly wait to see the Colts!

Mike,

The lecture this year will be presented by Mike Kline on the St. Valentine's Day Thompsons. Yes, the SVDM guns will be there again!

canuck,

Believe me, you will be able to find a Thompson to borrow for the shoot. And yes, you will love to see all the Colts. Plan to spend some quality time checking out Tracie's collection.

All,

If you're still thinking about attending, but haven't followed through yet, drop me a note. We'll get you set up to attend, if you respond soon.

We'll have to thank Tracie for moving the show away from Mike's daughter's b-day so he could join us.

See ya'll next week.

Will Frank be giving his marital advise on Saturday night?

I suppose an addiction to Tommy's could cause marital problems...

Yes, it probably could, but Frank's advice is more related to WWII aerial precision bombing, rather than a TSMG. They are some of the funniest stories I have ever heard!

Looking forward to the end of the week! Best weekend of the year, every time!

If anyone still wants to attend, we might be able to pull off a last minute deal....Let me know. It's going to be a great show.

I'm very much looking forward to attending for the first time.

Curl,

We're looking forward to seeing you there.

If anyone happens to arrive there Thursday night, some of us will already be in town, and will probably end up at the Buxton Inn restaurant or bar, or the Granville Inn bar for the pre-game festivities.

Sorry I have to miss it this year.

But I'll be there next year for sure!

John, which place will you be going back to, on Saturday, Iraq or Kuwait? I forgot.

In any case, let us hear from you.

And make SURE you get in touch with PK regarding getting your Westy to him.

Next year maybe your gun will be looking and working like we know it should be.

Wish I was going again, but right in the middle of building onto the house. Best luck in the shooting, somebody take some video of the action to post.

Dan

I just got home from the 20th Annual All Thompson Show and Shoot this afternoon. It was a great event, and we lucked-out on weather. My deep thanks to Tracie Hill and his family for hosting the event.

I enjoyed meeting a lot of new people, all of whom were cordial and very helpful to me as a newcomer. My thanks to all. I look forward to getting to know the group better.

My sincere thanks go to James Gilronan for so kindly allowing me the use of his TSMG in the shooting events. And also my congratulations to him as the winner of the morning shooting competition.

Next year I hope to be able to attend, in which case I'll be carrying my own TSMG.

I have some photos and videos of the event I'll try to make available over the next several days.

Phil and everyone,

I've just been uploading my videos and building a web page for them. There are sixteen videos embedded in this page:

http://rbsiii.com/The_American_Thompson_As...ion/2011_08_06/

I don't know how to embed them into this thread and would do so if I knew how.

I have some still photos I'll probably upload, but as they say, "Rome wasn't built in a day."

Enjoy,

Curl
