RoscoeTurner
Copy of a letter sent to me in August of 1986 in response to a letter I had sent to the NRA asking what their intentions were regarding the Hughes Amendment. As you can tell by the flurry of activity and proposed legislation originating with the NRA they jumped right on the problem. Yes, after 23 years the NRA has done absolutely nothing in regards to assisting NFA owners. http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/vv301/bayonet-hunter/NRA1.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/vv301/bayonet-hunter/NRA2.jpg As a side note, not once in that 23 years has the NRA ever responded to any letter other than the first I have sent to them regarding the Hughes Amendment. For those of you who are new to the NFA world do not pin any hopes on the NRA standing up for you. We have been thrown under the bus once and they will not hesitate to do it again. Oh, yeah, the Firearm Owners Protection Act they wanted so bad has really turned out to be a winner. Just ask the folks that have been busted legally transporting firearms through states they are not residents of.
