TSMGguy
New, current issue USGI green nylon slings for the M14, from the gov't contractor. These are not cheap repros. They're a bit of a bargain at $10.50, I think. These can be ordered from Charley's Surplus Sales, Inc., at 1-800-654-4795 (orders only). The web site has no shopping cart order function. Pic: http://www.charleyssurplus.com/M14%20NAVY%...SUE%20SLING.JPG The highly knowledgable individual who took my order said that while he describes these as Navy slings, they are what is currently issued by all services along with the M14. Label in bag: (UP code) 1005010838113 CAGE: 2A178 PART NO: 11833432 SLING, SMALL ARMS SPM750-15D-7663 MAY, 2009 The contract number checks out; these are legit. Green nylon web is similar in appearence and thickness to original early VN era cotton web M14 sling, not thin like the VN nylon sling. Steel fittings parked and fully up to original quality. Adjustment does not slip. I'd call the color "Marine green", not OD. These are really nice! Edited April 21, 2010 by TSMGguy
The Wizard
CAGE Code (2A178) indicates that the slings were produced by Envision, Inc., 2301 South Water Street, Wichita, KS 67213-4819, 316-267-2244. I wonder how much the government pay for the slings?
