Reising Model 60 Failure To Fire - Fixed

Finally got my Model 60 working again. I had bought a new bolt and had problems getting the bolt to cam up in the receiver to allow the firing pin to be hit by the hammer. Taking the advice of forum members and Mike from Darnall's Gun Works, I attempted to fit the bolt to the gun. I first polished the bolt as well as I could. I then worked at filing the notch in the bolt to fit the lug on the action bar. Finally got the bolt to cam up but then could not work the action bar with a loaded magazine. It would work with an unloaded magazine, however. Ended up replacing the action bar with one I bought from Dealers Showroom. John Bush was the gentleman I talked to there and he suggested trying a new action bar. Luckily for me, the filing I did on the bolt notch was right in line with the lug on the new action bar and now everything is fine. I can't tell that much difference between the two action bar lugs. The old action bar lug was worn somewhat and the bolt actually had to be lifted in the rear to insert the action bar lug in the bolt notch. The new one goes right in place with the lug lifting the bolt as it is inserted. Bottom line is that the action bar lug and bolt notch relationship seem to be critical to normal operation.

Going to the range tomorrow to check it out. Thanks to everyone for their input in helping to get this thing fixed.
