MK.IV. Cal.308 0014 Can anyone help me out as to the manufacturer( Winchester, Rem. , H&R) Any info will help. TSMGguy Posted November 11, 2008 Report Share Posted November 11, 2008 You do not have a USGI rifle, although many (if not most) of the parts of your rifle may be GI. Frank Iannanico's book, "US M-14 Rifle, The last Steel Warrior" has an extensive section on M1A and commercial M-14 type rifles. An A.R. Sales Co. receiver is pictured on pg. 368 with the caption, "A.R. Sales of California was one of many companies that attempted to break into the civilian market for the M14 rifle over the years."
