I have a model 50 that shoots probably 30% faster than my Thompson M1A1 and functions fine at this rate, but I was discussing how fast my gun fires with a man this weekend at the Reno Show that said that this is WAY to fast and that I should try to slow it up. If this is true I don't want to damage my gun what should I do to slow the rate of fire? I have a new Wolf springs in it now and I fire GI ball ammo, which I find works best in this gun when I can find it. Thanks, Steve in OR.

I recently aquired a Plainfield M2 in a 3 gun purchase and am haveing a problem with the Plainfield, it won't pick up a round from the mag. and chamber it. It will begain to feed up the ramp but then the bullet hits the side of the chamber short of entering the chamber. I did get it to fire a short burst by chambering a round then inserting the loaded mag. but it only fired 3 or 4 rounds befor it failed to feed, any thoughts? Steve in OR. Its factory ammo, GI mags, and the rifle could pass as unfired in condition.
