Many years ago when the demilled kits were relatively cheap ($400), I ordered one for a customer.
Post office said it was delivered to my house (I live way off the main Rd). No box was found anywhere near my house. After some phone calls, to the Post office, I found a couple small parts in the grass before the woods.
i had 3 Great Danes who roamed 10 acres with an invisible fence. I found some packaging, but no more.
Over the next couple of years, I found the well chewed buttstock and later the squirrel enhanced forearm.
Apparently, the new driver was afraid of the dogs and just dumped the package. Dogs thought it was a toy.
I was out $400

Wouldn't welding a cut receiver together be considered manufacturing and possessing an unlicensed MG?

That's a good looking case an interesting information.

Years ago I started doing this if something is fishy with a deal. Find out where the seller is and say “great news..my uncle lives ten minutes from you and can swing by for a quick inspection of the item and can pay cash for it so no shipping. If it’s a scam they will have some bullshit story that they are somewhere else and can’t meet or you will never hear from them again
I too have worked many fraud cases from a local Law Enforcement perspective. The above is a good way to flush them out. Once the money goes out of state, prosecutions are almost impossible to pursue.

I received both of your emails. Communication is important (both ways) in transactions.
Those have indicated an interest need to follow up.
My tool is in the mail. I have no idea if it works or not, but the drive to support Thompson operations is a good thing.
Thank you for your efforts.

Put me down for one. I have several stick mags with bent lips that have been waiting for repair

I received the bolt today. It was wrapped in paper and cosomoline with no rust. It was blued.
I don't even own a 1928 but have many parts and part kits from decades ago when things were cheap. One day, I'l trade my PK'd WH M1 for history and have enough parts for the weapon for a decade. My descendants will be happy.

I bought on too and a few other parts. We'll see how what the quality is.

I bought one will be delivered tomorrow.

When I looked it said $335 for Sarco

I love looking at those old PD Thompson's.
Thanks for sharing

Ok, what's the update?
You have one post to call out a vendor.

I've had dealings with them in the past. He was slow to respond but I received my merchandise. Anybody else had issue with him?

Notice at 37,500 the reserve was not met?

My department acquired a Reising from the govt mid/late 1950's. I had to do the research about 6 years ago because there was no documentation for this gun.
We eventually got it on a Form 10 (originally ATF refused to provide any assistance in documenting this MG) and it's just locked away in the arsenal.

I may have one I took off my old Kahr. PM me if you would like to trade.
I would have to go through a lot of parts boxes to find it.

Interesting. I wonder if it there were different shop specs at Savage and Colt.

I just shipped my uzi usps for $80 with $13,000 insured
Walked into the usps with a machine gun. Double boxed. They let me use their paper wrapping tape
Made it from wi to fl in 6 days
They asked what was inside and I told her an antique. She probed further and I told her I wasn't going to say
This was last week
I thought you had to have an FFL to ship firearms USPS with the associated USPS paperwork.

I'm glad I bought 2 of the 1928 "Russian" parts kits several years ago. With barrels, I believe I paid under $400/ea.

I voted no.
When I bought my Thompson (M1 WH), it had already been to PK. The previous owner told me it ran ok, but he had heard too many stories and had PK work on it.
I have the receipt in case I ever want to resell it. It's a great shooter now, it may have been an ok shooter then.

Parked = Military, regardless of how they left the factory.
Just my preference.

I'm no mag expert. But they are wrapped in bubble wrap and if new, old stock they can't be that old.
