If I recall, they were selling for $500 to $600 twenty years ago.

As a first timer are there exibitors who have items for sale? ie.clips, books, web gear etc.
-
I hope Eric Larson weighs in on this case. It must be music to his ears.

I have a Madsen Model 50 9m/m smg and my mag pouch looks exactly like your pictures.

TD---thanks for your time to answer my questions. I will wait to hear on location where most will stay. I have sent my registration to Tracie and I am a long time member of the TCA & TATA [i think a charter member of both}. I will fly in Thursday and out Sunday.

I am about to soon make airline reservations for the TATA show. As a first timer I want to take it all in so was wondering about the hours of the various events? I don't want to miss things, especially the show of guns and accessories. Again, do you think American Thunder III will be available by the show?
-
Does any one know if American Thunder III will be available at the TATA show in July?
-
Sent my reservation in to Tracie. This will be my first show, but I have collected Thompsons since the early 80.s. I am really looking forward to meeting other collectors and seeing the exibits,

I called the Cherry Valley lodge, they had no group of rooms set aside. Rooms are $157.00 per nite. I would like to stay where most attendees are staying so I did not make a reservation.

I plan on attending my first show. Which motel do most people stay at? I presume there is a gathering
friday & saturday nite? Looking forward to the show. I mailed my reservation to Tracie today.

Is there an American Thunder III in the works?

What is an original oiler for a Colt Thompson going for?

Ordered my copy last nite. Thanks TD for all your efforts on behalf of all of us who enjoy the wonderful hobby of Thompson collecting.

How do you tell if a Ingram 6 mag is original?
-
Sig----The Flues frame Auto&Buglar guns were chambered for 2 1/2 inch shells. Also H&R made some Handyguns in 28 ga that also are in 2 1/2inch chambers. For my A&B and 28 Handygun I have bought English Eley shells and Fiochii sold 2 1/2 shells. Hope this helps.

What do you suppose one of the 2 Thompsons used in the St Valentines Day Massacre that are owned by the Berrian [sp?] County Sheriffs Dept would bring at auction?
-
Nice gun. You have a real piece of history. Congrats.

I have a chance to buy a Ingram Model 6 [military configuration-horizontal foregrip]. Gun looks to be in very nice shape with nice blueing and nice wood. Comes with 4 mags but i do not know how to tell if they are original. Any thing I should be sure to look for or be aware of? How rare are they and how desirable are they? I have several other MGs including Colt Thompsons and this Ingram design looks a little crude. The big question is, what are they worth? Thanks for any help.

I have a question for STEN RKI's, I have a C&R STEN MKII. not a dealer's sample, mfg Long Branch Canada. The gun has the Chinese characters on the mag well. I believe that approx 125,000 were mfg but approx 75,000 were destined for the Chinese Nationalist Army. My STEN is dated 1945 so must have been in the pipeline when shipments ceased. Are there many Chinese marked Canadian STENs in the registry? The gun is in beautiful shape. Thanks for any help.

I believe that you will find that the '68 Amnesty was not a "be kind to gun owners deal', but rather a way to eliminate the double jeopardy defense to prosecutions under the National Firearms Act of 1934. And thus clear the way for future prosecutions. Thus, because a new amnesty would jeopardize current prosecutions I believe it would be vigorously opposed by the BATFE.

I think you found a very desirable item and the 4 cell single flap pouch is a quite hard to find item. If your pistol belt is also marked "MILLS 1921" you have a wonderful addition to your 28 Navy display. Good find.

I have a MP40, all matching , very nice condition, single diget serial #, that I've had for over 30 years. I have not shot it in years as they got more costly. It's now a proud safe queen but goes to gun shows in my show glass box so no one can touch my display. I would not even consider selling it for $20,000.

The finish on my Madsen is black paint. Does any RKI have any idea how many were made?
-
The question of why the Madsen Model 50 was not more popular I guess can best be attributed to the times. After WWII the world was awash with millions of cheap, unwanted submachineguns, and few buyers. 1950 was just not a good time to introduce a new concept in a submachinegun. Sales were slow, but a few police agencies did purchase the gun, but not enough to save it, and it was made under license in South America in caliber .45ACP. Thus, we had an evolutionary deadend. It's too bad, as the Madsen had some excellent features.

Fortunately I do not have any knowledge of bankruptcy rules, but it would seem to me that these Thompson guns which were not involved in the crime, and to the extent there are creditors yet owed funds, that all his assets, including all the guns, would be subject to auction to pay creditors.
