  1. I have a chance to buy a Ingram Model 6 [military configuration-horizontal foregrip]. Gun looks to be in very nice shape with nice blueing and nice wood. Comes with 4 mags but i do not know how to tell if they are original. Any thing I should be sure to look for or be aware of? How rare are they and how desirable are they? I have several other MGs including Colt Thompsons and this Ingram design looks a little crude. The big question is, what are they worth? Thanks for any help.

  2. I have a question for STEN RKI's, I have a C&R STEN MKII. not a dealer's sample, mfg Long Branch Canada. The gun has the Chinese characters on the mag well. I believe that approx 125,000 were mfg but approx 75,000 were destined for the Chinese Nationalist Army. My STEN is dated 1945 so must have been in the pipeline when shipments ceased. Are there many Chinese marked Canadian STENs in the registry? The gun is in beautiful shape. Thanks for any help.

  3. I believe that you will find that the '68 Amnesty was not a "be kind to gun owners deal', but rather a way to eliminate the double jeopardy defense to prosecutions under the National Firearms Act of 1934. And thus clear the way for future prosecutions. Thus, because a new amnesty would jeopardize current prosecutions I believe it would be vigorously opposed by the BATFE.

  4. The question of why the Madsen Model 50 was not more popular I guess can best be attributed to the times. After WWII the world was awash with millions of cheap, unwanted submachineguns, and few buyers. 1950 was just not a good time to introduce a new concept in a submachinegun. Sales were slow, but a few police agencies did purchase the gun, but not enough to save it, and it was made under license in South America in caliber .45ACP. Thus, we had an evolutionary deadend. It's too bad, as the Madsen had some excellent features.
