artie in miami Posted January 14, 2009 Report Share Posted January 14, 2009 I just got another batch of MP44 mag shells from the same guy that sold me them at knob creek (previous post)...these were the last batch that he had and all have dents in them. Has anyone ever figured out a method for getting the dents out of mag shells like the MP44 or MP40 ?? Since the MP44 mags are going for big money now, I figured that the $20 each for the dented shells was an ok deal. I was thinking about trimming some hard wood down so that it would just fit inside the mag shell and forcing it through to remove the dents. I am open for better suggestions. I'll bet a hydraulic ram with a piece of steel that just fit inside would do it perfectly. Don't have one...yet. Will probably find one at the flea market in Ft Lauderdale one day !! Thanks artie ps I am still looking for floorplates and followers for the mp44 mags...I located springs...$15/dozen...they are post war DDR...in 20 more years...who could tell ?
