smithwr3
I'm thinking about getting a Reising in a couple of months and I'd like to know if the barrel is threaded. Also if it is, has anyone tried it with a silencer?
smithwr3
Anyone with a Reising answer my question?
Lumpy223
From Frank Iannamico's Book, The Reising Submachine Gun Story, "On the model 50 barrels a 7/8-24 thread is turned on the muzzle end for the attachment of the compensator." Can't help you on the suppressor part of your question though as they are illegal here.
Notch
No hushers alowed in my state either, but I would think that this would be a fine firearm to supress!
Barry in IN
I haven't suppressed mine, but I did see a suppressed Reising on a table at Knob Creek the last time I went (1999). So it has been done at least once! As I recall, it was kinda big. I only had my Reising for a few months at the time, so was especially curious about anything Reising-related. But, there was no one at the table to ask who made it, how well it worked, or anything else. I asked a local manufacturer about suppressing one back when I got mine. He said he had not done one, but didn't see why he couldn't. He gave a figure of $450 (I think). If you want, I'll dig around for some contact info. I haven't seen him in a long time, and don't know if he is even doing that anymore.
smithwr3
I'll talk to my dealer and see what kind of gemtech suppressors are in .45 and see about getting an adapter if needed. If I go through with this (still need to save up for a Reising first), there will be video posted.
