On a M1 Carbine board it was reported that in the process of building M2's, Inland had some receivers that were not designated M1 or M2. It was stated that the number was left out and then hand stamped when the carbine was finished depending on its final configuration. Any knowledge about this?

Sorry Jim, I read your response on another thread and I could not delete my "disregard".
