PTRS-14.5
Ok another odd item... I can find images of similar ones but not quite the same per the image. I see an image of a Russian M1910 WC Maxim but this saddle doesn't have the assembles that the mount wheels rest in. The wood appears to be hardwood, oak? The 4 saddle sides are hinged and appear to move up for loading reasons..? It has markings per the images 0. 1906 and others I don't recognize. Let me know what you think. Sorry I don't have better images. ThxCharliePTRS14.

RoscoeTurner
I will post your photos to my Maxim Facebook page, we have several new members who work in museums in Russia that should be able to help.
PTRS-14.5
Thanks that would be great. My Model 1910 would look nice on it in display... Fortunately, I sold the ex's horses ("she rode English" and an occasional Scotsman) to a local company, Dad's Dog Food... I knew she was expensive but once I paid her off and to had cover the up keep of those damn hay burners for 3 years, their days were numbered. PTRSCharlie I owned horses years ago, it is a mistake I will never repeat. Have received a few posts on your photos but nothing positive. Do you have any additional photos of the saddle?
