TSMGguy
Someone's going to get a very nice gun indeed, if they can just get to the seller's reserve! http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=318744381
Lancer
WOW! Up to $3500 and the reserve has not been met. The G.H.D. cartouche looks absolutely pristine as if it were stamped yesterday. I'm not an expert but if I was going to lay out this kind of coin, I would have some questions about it.
TSMGguy
The cartouche (Ordnance inspector's acceptance stamp) looks good. It's identical to the one on my M12. Stock color is correct, too. This is a very nice, late rough milled M12. It's certainly one of the nicest I've ever seen.
TSMGguy
This item SOLD for $3,600, a good price for both parties, I think.
bmarvin
To bad it was parked instead of blued
jim c 351
Brian,If its a later rough machined receiver then a park finish is correct. If it was blued it would be a reblue.Jim C
bmarvin
Jim,I didn't know that. I thought all US marked 12's were originally bluedBrian
TSMGguy
Jim's correct. I'll bet that this is one of the last Model 12 trench guns produced.
emmagee1917
It does have the classic " thumbprint" mark. Nice gun at a good price.Chris
