The Poor Man's Pedersen Device? Gotta Love American Ingenuity

Recommended Posts

This one is kinda cool... I just picked this up yesterday at an antique store. I'm thinking this was actually someone trying to make a bolt action into a pump action. The first pics it is cocked and ready to fire. When you push back and twist, replicating what the cut in the shaft does, it cams the bolt and runs it back. Someone put some work into this. I just wish it had more pieces to it.

Might also be an attempt to make a Snabb semi-auto conversion. This was tested on M1917s during WWII to convert them to semi-auto. Not successful. Guy selling the Snabb in the U.S. was a gun trader named Gotterson. Apparently a little shady! Was also involved in remanufacturing Hotchkiss and Marlins (sold as scrap in about 1932) and selling them to French, Dutch, whoever was in urgent need of machine guns at the time (about 1942-43).
