TSMGguy
Great photo of Audie Murphy, the most decorated soldier in US history. Looks to me like he's been awarded the Croix de Guerre with two palms, and three awards of the Purple Heart: Edited September 6, 2017 by TSMGguy

Sandman1957
Here's an American Hero most of you have never heard of. Its shameful how things have changed in our country. Google Robert L Howard USA. He was the most highly decorated man during Vietnam. No-one know him outside of a small circle of SF types and Special Ops types. There are many links you will find, books you can read, and quite a bit of actual footage. Noteworthy. Humbling. The greatest among us. I'm proud to have served with men like him. Be careful watching the video. Read the links first from wiki before you start watching the videos. You'll spend hours on this. He is the epitome of the quiet warrior. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZA6ftXxvMQ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_L._Howard https://www.dmagazine.com/publications/d-magazine/2010/july/colonel-robert-howard-of-waco-greatest-american-hero/ https://www.sofmag.com/sogs-fiercest-warrior-colonel-robert-l-howard/ Edited September 6, 2017 by Sandman1957
RoscoeTurner
Mike Novosel is a MOH recipient I used to hang with on occasion at the officer's club at Ft Rucker from time to time, his son and I worked together as instructor pilots at Lowe Field in the early 80s. He served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Novosel died in 2006 and is buried at Arlington.Sadly while looking for this link about his father I learned that Mike Jr passed away in 2009.http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/mjnovoselsr.htm
