M-50 Firing Pin

i took my m-50 apart to install christie spring kit a couple of the small springs wouldnt go over the pins ok so i stayed with old spring i took the bolt apart to remove fireing pin i had to tap out pin it was bent on the end reason why i had to tap it out and there was no spring at all in there it actually fired any body dealt with this before?

There should be a firing pin spring in your Christie kit. Using it without one would definitely damage the pin.

It's always best to do a strip down on a new gun to look for problems and give it a good cleaning before using.

I'd recommend using one of Christie's titanium pins ($50) on the rebuild, there much better than the originals.

thanks very much for comeback i ordered one and have the spring this is the second gun ive had problems with from internet good rule of thumb to strip it right away thanks again bob
