Sorry, I'm kind of going crazy on the forum right now but I've got a lot Reising excitement built up. I'm also having trouble with the data base - I've got info that should be included but it is incomplete.

Please if you've responded to the data base and had you gun or guns put in there, shoot me an email/PM and let me know your serial number or close to it and whether or not you have a punch mark on the receiver? I've conflicting data that says i should have at least 8 guns with punch marks for only 5 guns. I suspect there should be more. Thank you very much.

Ross,

I got it - thanks.

It will be interesting to see where the punch marked Reisings fall in relation to the total population. We only have 46 M50s listed so far. There are large gaps in the serial numbers that may be real - in other words USMC guns that were destroyed during WWII or just because our sample is so small. The largest gaps are between serial numbers 24991 and 52692 (27700 guns) - (only 383XX is in this group) and ser. no. 634XX and 90987 (27497 guns). There are other smaller gaps as well - we need more guns!

The Xs in the serial numbers are those guns that the owners did not provide all the numbers.
