maxfaxdude is correct. Big Sandy has a very active group of cannon enthusiasts on the West end of the line, and the October event typically has the greatest turn-out. Good chance somebody there will have a lead on what you are looking for.

Outstanding. . . I don't think I've ever come across a 12 gauge one for sale.
-
You can SBR an original firearm, no problem. But, since it is a "new build" you'll have to engrave it with builder's name and city.

I spoke with a C&R pistol dealer at Tulsa last year who told me the same thing about a pending letter and ruling. . . but as of yet, nothing published. It wouldn't surprise me and they need to be included. I too will be shopping for one once they are in.

The Star Model A is listed in the latest published update (through 2018) with stock, but not the MB. If they'd issued a letter, it would be listed in the update.

Yes, the trigger assembly is pretty straightforward. I did fab up a tool to compress the hammer spring and it makes re-assembly a whole lot easier.

The replacement will have to be modified to retain it in the receiver body. OOW uses a pin through the body of the selector.

I am assisting with the estate of board moderator Sandy Jones ("OCM"), and I wanted to offer items of potential interest here first:

Those Model 94's soldiered on for a long time. Wouldn't surprise me if there still weren't a few out there in the back of inventory racks. . .

On the topic of Alcatraz; can anyone direct me to a source for Alcatraz firearms inventory records prior to the 1948 list found on line? I have a Winchester that might have served there.

Later model A2 kits come up periodically in the $1200+ range. A2 parts are all available individually.
1918 kits and parts not so much.

PM sent and many thanks!

I am assisting with the disposition of the estate of board moderator Sandy Jones ("OCM"), and I wanted to offer items of potential interest here first:
Browning Auto 5 "Whippet conversion" with the conversion work having been performed by Tom at Bull Creek Arms. 12 gauge and legal (non-SBR) length. I do not believe Sandy had a chance to fire this weapon, but I own one of Tom's Whippet conversions and it runs great-- a very fun gun.
I'd judge the bluing at 90% $500
Winchester Model 12. 21" barrel and CYL marked with a vintage Cutts Compensator installed. Matching numbers and a smooth action. 80% thinning in places. (No PD or LE markings) $575
More pictures available. I believe Sandy discussed both on this forum over the years. Please PM me for details.
Thanks to David for his permission to post these items, and for your consideration.

The standard brass loading tube (when full) = approx. 100. Carnies load the tubes in volumn --there was a factory loader that filled the tubes in bulk.

Me too. Very reliable and built tough. Shoot it all afternoon for $3 worth of #2 chilled shot. . . hahaha!

Although what passes for "sights" on a Feltman Shoot-The-Star carnival gun are fixed (cast into the pieces) the point of aim is actually adjustable via a couple of set screws at the end of the barrel which hold the actual barrel in the casting. You can actually get the thing to be pretty accurate. . .
The original manual lists several ways the game operator can change the odds of success (apart from mis-adjusting the aim which is not mentioned) including changing the rate of fire and using larger star targets --there were 3 sizes of stars I believe. Not to mention who's to say you're getting a full 100 rnds. in the loading tube. . .

If it works and lasts maybe he'd consider doing a small run of that design. . .

Same as StrangeRanger said above-- I upgraded the steel FP in both my M50 and M60 to the titanium replacement. No problems so far.

FN-D thread protector will work.

Nice score Al, thanks for sharing.

My kind of flea market. . .

Just out of curiosity, did he have one in stock for you to purchase, or is this for a future lot?
