  1. I read on another board that if you put Thompson springs in instead of regulation springs that you can speed up the rof. You have to cut them down and play with them to get the rof that you want. My question: I have a registered tube M3A1 and am wondering with a rof of around 600-700 rpm would this hurt the weld at the front of the reciever? The front of the gun where the barrel screws on is welded to the tube and would the extra force of the springs (with the higher rof) hurt the weld? Thanks, Jeff http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif
  2. I finally got another sling to fit my GG and am wondering which end ,the snap part of the sling goes? Front by barrel or at rear or does it make no difference? Thanks, Jeff http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
  3. I've had a registered tube M3-A1 for about 10years now and every time I go to the range it goes with me!! Yes, it fires slow but that is half the fun of firing it. Both my sons love to use it and there wives also. Along with it I have a spare parts kit, several guide clips and about 2 dozen mags. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
  4. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif Just testing the water to see if it would be worth trading a M3-A2, yes I said A-2. It is a registerad tube by Hardtimes Armoury build up by our local C-2 dealer. When Hardtimes registered these tubes (10ea) they registered them as M3-A2, why I don't know! It is a M-3A1 in every way! I thought that I could possibly trade to get a Thompson,a shooter noy y a collecter. I have a spare parts kit, 2 doz mags, an extra bolt(complete) and other extras. Remember I am just checking to see whats out there!
  5. I just got my Collectible Ins. policy today and if you read the covarge (or what is not covered) the policy DOES NOT COVER " Guns that are primarily used, fired or discharged for sports, hobby, self protection or similar purposes" this is a direct quote from the policy!!I e-mailed them to get a refund and cancel the policy.
