  1. I received the bolt shown below in a box of parts. There is some damage to it, as you can see. Is it worth anything as is, or is it scrap metal? Thanks! http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h53/jntmjt1/Parts%20ID/P1410850_zps180d981b.jpg

  6. I'm new to the 1927A1, but I'm building one up "right" for my personal collection (I'll add the details below, for those interested). Anyway... as most have pointed out, that cocking knob is brutal on the semi-auto gun. So, I'd like to try some lighter springs. If anyone with EZ Pull springs could take some measurements of their springs for me, it would be much appreciated. Here's what I'm looking for on each spring: 1. Wire diameter 2. Overall Outer diameter 3. Length of spring (at rest) 4. Number of total coils My gun started out has a new Kahr 1927A1 steel receiver (the 1928 looking style). The first thing I did was submit my Form 1 for SBR approval, which won't be back until the fall. Dan Block did a very nice job with a removable stock conversion and 1928-style profiling of the grip frame for me. I installed a new condition, original Lyman rear sight. I have smoothed, polished, and reblued everything except for the receiver and grip frame (and the barrel which will be removed later). I have a 1928 forward gripmount on its way that I will swap out when it's time for the barrel change. All of the wood is stained a darker/reddish color and has a Tung Oil finish to give it a more accurate look. I did the "tool-less" take down modification to the receiver (I recommend this mod to everyone... it took very little time to do the mod, and made the disassembly of the gun a million times easier). The internals have all been de-burred and polished, and I polished the front half (the round part) of the bolt to give it the shiny metal look. I have a 20 round GI mag that I polished and reblued and also one of the unmarked-type "Crosby" reproduction L drums. It is really coming along, but that long barrel is hard to take. While I wait on the Form 1 to come back, I am going to start on a fun project, an FBI case replica. John Thomas

  9. I'm looking for a reproduction manual for the early Model 1927 (not the modern 1927A1, but the original open-bolt semi version from "back in the day"). Does anyone sell the reproduction manual? Thanks!
