Out side of the fact it doesn't have a cult following like WW11 guns it's still a quality firearm and it may be a couple thousand less in value than a M1A1 WW11 gun I belive it is a lot nicer gun than the M1A1 thompson. As far as being a repro its not it's a west hurley 1928 thompson submachine gun. If it's a repro than so is the M1A1, The only real deal is the colt 1921 or the 1928 navy overstamp. Who would want to make a repro of a repro. M1A1 blows.

If I had a colt thompson you would play hell catching me leaving it anyware over night. You'd find it where ever I was sleeping under my pillow.

OK What is the question? If you are trying to pay as little tax as possible a investment held for longer than a year is a long term investment and subject to a long term capital gains tax of 20% on the profit regardless of your income. If you are trying to not pay your taxes sell the gun, hide the money, file no form.

If you want to talk real thompson you would have to go with 1921 or 1928 navy, All other thompsons are imitations and are sad to say not real thompsons. You can say WH this or WH ant got that but as you will soon see there will be savage guns with cuts and welds hens a crack repair job due to age and abuse and they will become more and more frequent as time goes on. I say if you don't have the funds to go for a real thompson 21 or 28 navy you should go for a WH, WW11 guns are like AMF Harley Davidsons, They say Harley but the colt owners know the difference, If you spend a little money and have your WH blue printed you will end up with a nicer running unreal thompson than if you had a WW11 unreal thompson and nicer looking as well. Don't let em BS ya savage guns crack too, Every time you come across a gun that says it has a cut in the receiver that has been welded that's from repairing a crack, I say get a WH take the money you save, trick it out and buy some accessories and ammo and you'll end up with a better shooter and a nicer looking gun. 28 navy or bust....

Is a 1928 and a m1 buffer different ?

I noticed in your list of items you forgot your passport photos. you need to attach them to your form 4s. I don't think express mail is going to speed thing up enough to matter. I would let your c3 mail them just in case there is something you over looked. The address you mail them to should be in the upper right corner of your form 4.

Wat are you guys doing to get the video to work ?

Everywhere I have looked even in the pinned topics the Kahr C drum has got good reviews and claims that they worked well in most cases rite out of the box up until now. What gives.

Yeah Iknow. I don't have the oiler all I have is a picture. Thanks for the help guys, untill now I didn't even know thompson even had a round oiler. I though they were all square.
