Hi,
Here's the situation, I am looking at buying a Colt Thompson (1928 Navy overstamp) which is no where near original condition. The seller claims that it was an arsenal rebuild, but has smooth barrel, light parkarising, incorrect wood, Savage internals, and no proof marks (other than the "JHB" in a circle on the right side). We took it out and shot it, and it runs like a champ. No function issues at all. The guy who owned it prior to the seller had it for three decades, I saw a copy of his form. The prior owner purchased it from a company named "Sir Sidney's Submachineguns" in Albuquerque, NM. I am really looking for a shooter with some history, not a safe queen. Any idea what this item might be worth? Anyone ever hear of "Sir Sidney's Submachineguns"?
Thanks in advance,
Tim
