  1. Ah! That realy bites. For EXPORT only? How come U.S. citizens cannot buy them? We are at WAR with foreign countries right now! I think that's crazy that we would still allow foreign countries to buy weapons. The thought of U.S. weapons being in the wrong hands frightens me. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif
  2. Your right. The more I spend on parts, the more I lose. I'm just going to break down and buy one. And by the way, is it true that Kahr is about to make full auto Thompsons? Or will they just be available to Police, etc. Thanks for all your help Lionhart, I'm glad I can finally talk to professionals!
  3. Yes, I might buy a west hurley 27' semi auto. I have an aluminum frame for a 27, which I got off ebay for only 80 dollars. Kahr wants $322, and I think that is to high. My frame is torn up some in the back where you install the buttstock, so I need one of those slide adapters too.
  4. Of coarse! Im throwing away the dummy, and buying a real 28' receiver, or is 21' better (say?)? I have FFL, So Ive decided to break down and pay for a working one.
  5. And to think, I was about to take it to a machine shop last week to have it milled! Jeez, I could have gotten in some trouble. Thanks alot guys!
  6. I just bought a dummy receiver from Philadelphia Ordnance (because they are made from higher grade steel). I would like to have it milled into a live firearm, but I don't know what kind of crap I would have to go through to get it done. Would I HAVE to get prior batf approval, or can I get a license after it is milled? I live in Georgia, class III sub guns are legal here, but I don't know if it is the same with a milled dummy. Or would I have been better off just buying a live receiver from Kahr?
  7. I have a Thompson 27-a1 lightweight trigger frame. Is it possible to turn it into a full auto/single frame? I think I could by drilling a hole beside the mag catch and installing a pivot, But instead I would rather ask one of you guys first.
