  1. Have posted this before but understand its a pre US WWII 1928.
  2. I have a pre WWII 1928 that I kinked the main spring. I ordered what was billed as original old stock replacement but now the gun doesn’t run right. Since the original was messed up I couldn’t compare them but the new one sure went in easier which leads me to believe it was shorter. Are the 1928 and M1 etc. different lengths or strength? Anyone have a REAL 1928 spring I can buy?
  3. Thought I would share the beautiful range case Greg Fox just finished for me. Could'nt be more pleased. A true craftsman!
  4. Only a guess but it probably said "Thompson Sub Machine Gun" and the non gun person doing the redaction did it because is was a persons name.
  5. Have 2 drums, the New York came with it. Got the WWII on Gunbroker for like $450. Could't believe it went that low. Guess the Thompson people missed that week!
  6. Looks like the old thread with the pics dropped off. Here are some I had on phone.
  7. Filed a FOIA request on the 1928 I received earlier this year, and see something interesting. Assumed it was a old DOD or police department release. From the redacted form from 1968 it says the owner acquired it in 1942!. It has a inventory number on the stock so I'm assuming it walked off from a PD or defense plant or such. Any other ideas? Have added a pic of the number and a scan of the 1968 amnesty paper. Have posted the gun in a previous post titled GEG stamp on my 1928. Also looks like the original owner had it for a long time the next transfer isn't until 1994. 1928 FOIA.pdf
  8. I have had two clear this year(1928 and M2 Carbine) both were form 4's from a dealer to me. The last is a 1919A4 form 4 individual to individual that went pending Aug 20 and still pending today. Seems they slow walk the non dealer transfers.
  9. My range case is next in line. Will post pics when it arrives.
  10. I have had a range case ordered from him since March and no notification yet so?
  11. This may be a dumb question, but I'm asking anyway. I now have a prewar Bridgeport 1928 that I have already posted about (GEG Stamp inside receiver). I want to keep it original so what would have been in the butt stock storage area in 1941 and WWII?
  12. Just wondering if your guys here can give a close date to when S-93917 was produced? Pictures on older post asking about the GEG stamp.
  13. Mine Received by ATF 04/06/18 Approved 2/9/19 At dealer 3/4/19
  14. Showed a fellow collector my 1928 today and he gave me this magazine. Don't plan on opening it but wondering how hard they are to come by new in the wrapper. And curious why dated 1954, repacked maybe?
  15. Just got this Savage 1928 after almost a year waiting on the form 4. It does not have any military markings on the outside so assumed it not military. When I dissambled it there was a GEG inspector stamp on the bottom of the upper receiver near the rear sight. Anyone know the story behind this?
  16. Just sent you a message if still looking I can help. Scott
