  1. The closest measurement I can get is to the 17.4" barrel. Here are a couple more pictures: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d138/tango_foxtrot/FM/2009/IMG_5159Small2.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d138/tango_foxtrot/FM/2009/IMG_5156Small.jpg What would be the appropriate muzzle brake for the shorter barrel models?
  2. It was turned bayonet lug facing down. I estimate the resistance to turning is easy, not "really hard" so I think you're right about it losing some of its spring tension. The only other thing I can figure is if the extra wide opening for the spring is letting too much gas out. It seems strange it would be open in front where it can let out gas before it gets to the compensator and where it hits the spring. Is this extra opening for the gas normal? http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d138/tango_foxtrot/FM/2009/Tricomcut.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d138/tango_foxtrot/FM/2009/Tricomcut2.jpg
  3. I recently picked up a BM59 Quick Detachable Muzzle Brake to replace the ugly empty tube Beretta put on the end of a BM62. The problem is on the first shot the spring popped out. I pushed it back in and a few shots later it popped back out. It averaged popping out two or three times every five shots. Am I doing something wrong or is it too old, out of spec, or something else going on? I was using South African battlepack ammo from 1981. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d138/tango_foxtrot/FM/2009/IMG_4152Small.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d138/tango_foxtrot/FM/2009/IMG_4136Small.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d138/tango_foxtrot/FM/2009/IMG_4161Small.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d138/tango_foxtrot/FM/2009/IMG_4149Small.jpg
