machinegun transfer on form 4 to trust in Louisiana, pending april 9th, approved august 27th

form 4 that was pending since Nov 4th approved May 23rd, still waiting for it to come through the mail

the one I had pending since Nov 4th, they sent a letter dated 4-26-12 that they couldn't find a beneficiary listed on my trust, but it is listed clearly on the first page so my dealer sent them the first page with that part highlighted, waiting to see what happens I've never seen them make a mistake like this

I have one pending since Nov. 4th with no hope in site, i have no idea when it will come this is the longest I have ever waited

I live in Louisiana also, I've never had any LEO check my paper work for class 3 items

thanks for the info, i'm not with LE but I have a CCW permit but they have no effect on transfer times i have transfered 4 suppressors in Louisiana, and my transfer times were 3-5 months, I use a trust because they treat you like a criminal just to get finger prints done where I'm from (even though i was courteous and paid for the service) I already sent off for my Mac-11, state application to transfer already came back approved, now waiting on the form 4's there was a rumor that I needed another permit from the state to own a full auto, I have been trying to confirm the right information I'm guessing that dealer didn't know what he was talking about, I talked to 2 other class three dealers and the LSP Concealed handgun permit department and they all said that all i needed was the state application to transfer has anyone transfered a full auto into a trust in Louisiana?? (on a form 4) if so let me know exactly what state paperwork was required so I can put this rumor to rest

this was a machine gun transfer in Louisiana on a form 4?? if so, was there any state paperwork besides the "state application to transfer a firearm" and the "state registration" after stamp was in??

I always transfer into my trust, some took 5 months, and I had 2 go through in 3 months have one pending since Nov 4th and still waiting

Can I ship my full auto to a class 3 gunsmith without transfering it to them? Technically they would have a machine gun that is not registered to them while they repair it. Would this be legal??

My dealer submitted the paper work, so we will find out if we are right

so it looks like those are the only 2 forms that will need to be completed for Louisiana state compliance for a machine gun transfer into my trust the same forms I have done in the past for suppressors Looks like they are doing this right, I was curious because it says Louisiana is machine gun legal with permit thanks for the help and any other input would also be greatly appreciated

you are talking about the Louisiana application to transfer a firearm and the application to register it I'm familiar with those as I have had to have them with my last 4 transfers. is there any extra permits required when transferring a full auto in Louisiana I have read that machine guns are legal in Louisiana with a permit, is the permit they are referring to the state application to transfer?? because i can't find a specific state machine gun permit for Louisiana I'm trying to make sure my dealer has everything right the first time

I have done 4 transfers for suppressors into my trust and I am familiar with the NFA process. I'm ready to purchase a transferable machine gun but I have been getting different stories from class 3 dealers. Is there any additional paperwork to transfer a machine gun on a form 4 in Louisiana than other transfers (such as suppressor and SBR's)? Can anyone that has transferred a full auto on a form 4 in Louisiana help me out??
