  1. I had not considered that but I will commit that any I make will have a makers mark carved, branded or stamped. I will check the thompson thread. I want to make quality stocks that can be used to increase the shootability without worrying about decreasing the value if it gets beat up. I promise some of them wont be able to get passed off as I want to do some stratabond colors (think 55 style stock in black). Others may be more exotic wood for presentation in original styles. Side opening for cocking with fore grip underneath etc. I will not be contributing to fake/counterfeit market James
  2. I agree they 55s should have a better market and I should have mine in hand by end of the month (stock that is) to use as a pattern.
  3. Through timing and dumb luck I found out we have some changes in Reising parts world. Christie has stopped selling Reising mags & firing pins on their website and they are now being sold by Joe at Keystone Arms. I talked to Joe this morning and he is stocking a great bit of stuff and working to inventory it and will make it available as he is able. It was my first time talking with Joe and he seemed like a great guy and I am hoping to work with him next year and maybe bring some additional Reising stocks to market (among others) once I have duplicator in place.
  4. thanks for replies, waiting on my paperwork to clear after it went to "problem status" for mismatch on model number but i wanted to look at some stock material and needed to know how thick it needs to be. I have been looking at stock duplicators and will also need to pick up an extra stock as mine is in a custom.
  5. For your seemingly random question of the day, How wide is the Reising stock overall? I am waiting on the ATF before I can go back to pick mine up but wanted to get a jump start on some things. Thanks, James
