  1. I've got a box full of parked BAR mags - all are USGI. Various makers. All are unissued. 8 for $175 shipped - or 16 for $325 shipped. all shipping is USPS Priority. Email me at whitmerps@yahoo.com to purchase. Thanks
  2. Must be a lot of Thompsons in Indiana..................thanks guys.
  3. All I have left is the Maguire Error Patent Date (no solder-filled) If you have already ordered - I do have your mags set aside. Thanks
  4. These are used magazines, none are exactly alike so it's impossible to photograph each and every one. I function checked all of them (there's a box full that didn't make the cut - over 40). * some are possibly arsenal refinished or have finish wear from honest use * some may have non-Maguire floor plates or followers (Seymour floor plates are common) * they will function * all dates are easily readable I think these will exceed your expectations - they are really nice mags. I have the following available - XX Maguire Era Patent Date Magazines: SOLD OUT XX Maguire Era Patent Date Magazines with solder-filled holes: SOLD OUT XX Maguire Era "Error" Patent Date Magazine: SOLD OUT XX Maguire Era "Error" Patent Date Magazine with solder-filled holes: SOLD OUT I can fit up to 4 mags in a USPS Flat Rate Priority box for $6. Buy 4 or more mags and shipping is free. Quantities are limited - so email me please (whitmerps@yahoo.com) to confirm availability. I'll set them aside with your name on them while you send me a check or MO. Thanks
  5. Did your replacement mag arrive along with funds for return of the damaged one? Paul
  6. replacement mag has been shipped to you - sorry for the issues Paul
  7. I have no doubt the heating would be effective Kilroy. I've used boiling hot water and gotten good results. I've used gas as well and gotten good results. But - I've never tried heated gas. (smile). All good my friend.
  8. The seller does not endorse the heating of flammable liquids...............(smile)
  9. I have received comments from others which tend to agree with what you are saying. I'm told it's possible these were Colt blanks - sent to Maguire. Hence the combination of Maguire markings on the body, but with the Colt "broken hole" follower and lacking the MSCO on the interior of the spine. Thanks for your response.
  10. Both in a sense - they have the tool marks and a notch - not a hole as seen on the S-W blanks.
  11. These 9 mags are the only of the 154 with notched follower and lacking the MSCO on the interior - otherwise, they seem identical to the other Maguire Era Error mags. All of the other 140+ Maguire Era mags (Error and non-Error) - have an un-notched follower and are marked MSCO on the interior backstrap.
  12. So - I've sorted through the majority of the 154 XX mags I've got. I've found the majority are Maguire Era Error Patent Date (roughly 125) - and another 27 are Maguire Era Patent Date (double date). Then - I've got 9 mags that do NOT have MSCO on the inside back strap - they are unmarked inside but mirror the Maguire Era Error on the outside - they have notched followers (these are the only mags with notched followers). The followers look identical to those shown on the ID thread for "Colt Era Blank Magazine". It's been a painstaking process of checking them all for function and proper ID. I have quite a few that the follower was impinged (small dents, etc) - they have been set aside. You'd have never known they did not function properly without taking them apart - or sticking shells in them. I wanted to be the one to find out - not you. I've also seen some that are a shiny blued - while others are almost black parked (very dull). Finish varies with wear - but no rusty pitted junkers. Maybe 25 or so have solder-filled holes. One thing I noted was that several had Seymour dimpled floorplates. Is this odd? And many had lots of finish wear on the mag but noticeably less on the floorplate. Being used to Garands I know that finding one that's "factory correct" is next to impossible. I'm guessing that when these were taken apart in the field, arsenal, etc - they grabbed the closest floorplate from a pile and slid it on? Comments requested and appreciated. Paul
  13. I know this isn't the Vickers thread - but I'm hoping some of you might also be Vickers enthusiasts. I have several Vickers barrels that need new homes, all used but in great shape, no rust, pitting, etc. If interested - email me and I'll send some picts. whitmerps@yahoo.com Thanks Paul
  14. I have 2 ea M3 bolts in factory wrap. These are in a green wax-coated mummy-wrapping - have never been opened. Asking $275 shipped each. If the question is: "Are these stripped or complete?" - I honestly don't know. Figure on stripped if that makes it any better. If you open them and find any imperfections (finish) - I'll gladly refund and pay for their return. I don't want to open them - I feel it's something the buyer should be the first person to do. These have not seen the light of day since they left the factory. Email me at whitmerps@yahoo.com for purchase. Thanks
  15. Thanks for all the great feedback. I still have about 100 of these that need a new home.
  16. Dropped to $300 shipped OBO. I've got about 10 of these to pass along. I also have some NOS op rods and used op rods.
  17. If I tell ya Jim - I'd have to.....you know. (smile) What about 20/24 w/o MSCO? I have some of those too.
  18. Looks like you're both right. Thanks to Larry - I pulled some floor plates and found some of the non-double date marked MCSO on the spine - and some were not marked MCSO. Looks like more sorting is due for me. All of the double date I looked at were marked MCSO on the spine. I'll get around to checking them all at some point.
  19. I added a third pict of the "double date" mags as well. I assumed these were all Maguire mags? So - 1 vote Colt and 1 vote Maguire?
  20. Are these Maguire Era Error Patent Date mags? Just want to be rock solid on my identification before I start selling them. I've got about 100 or so marked identical to these - and another 27 with "double date" - also believed to be Maguire. The third pict is what I have 27 of. (double date) Thanks.
