  1. First off I'd like to say I'm new here. I meandered my way to this site trying to find out how old a recent Tommy purchase I made was so here is the story... The day Obama made his first announcement about banning guns back in late December I rushed around and called around looking for more AR15's. I was foolishly surprised no one had any in the local Phoenix area. I headed out to Cabela's to see if they had any and all the had left were a few (5) $2500 POF's, $2000 Black Rains new in stock. I foolishly hesitated and held off. I looked at the used gun rack and they had about 6 really junky Sage AR's for $700 I also held off on. In between the junk AR's and a few .22 AR's was a lonely out of place looking used Tommy Gun. Price was $1099.99. I was more interested in AR's and the line for 4473's was about 2 hours long so I drove over to another FFL where I bought some of his guns. Later that evening I told my wife about the Tommy and she said she wanted it. I told her it was probably sold but we went to see if it was still there. We got to Cabela's around 7pm and I saw right away that all the POF's, Black Rain's, and the junk AR's were gone. Strangely the Tommy was still there. I had the wife use her best assets to get a salesman and we told him we wanted the Tommy. He read the tag and it had noted that parts were in vault. We walked ove rto the gun library and had the saleman bring out the extras no one remembered were in the vault. It turned out that included was a box that contained 3 Seymour mags, 1 SWCO mag, and 2 USGI mags. I have to look up the generations on those. Also in the box was an L drum mag in its own original box. It had a yellowed out slip from Auto Ordnance for instructions. It looks brand new. I was about to sell the gun last night to fund an M16 I just bought. I seriously thought it was one of the newer Kahr models. I looked online to see when it was made but all other guns had serials starting with letters. Mine only had 4 numbers. I eventually made my way to this forum and discovered my 6xxx gun was made in 1977. It looks new with only mild handling marks. I decided to turn down the $1800 offer and keep it. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm117/audiophil2/SAM_1959_zpsdf834fd8.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm117/audiophil2/th_SAM_1935_zps4618c0b7.jpg
