  1. Hi everyone, after a 20-year quest, at least I found my Colt model ! Matching numbers # 11848, de-mil at new European specifications, The gun is welded close, but as you can see the receiver is not cut bold is moving, Seymour WWII drum magazine. Let me know if you want specific details or photos
  2. Yes in France. here full auto weapons are not allowed. The semi auto were imported for people who want to shot at the range and sport section. I don't think that a Thompson has been used by any law enforcement here since the WWII !

  8. Receive mine in France yesterday : Number 55 great data base. I'm proud to own the last book from Gordon, this is the best tribute for this great passionate man paul
  9. Ejector and extractor cut, bolt cut at 45° with firing pin welded, hole in the barrel (now, new specification done more holes) engraved punch on barrel, receiver and frame to prove the approved work. note : here receiver is intact !

Back on this topic after a year, I finally found my 1928 (not A1 ! ) New york production with "low" number 32850 (sorry demilitarized ) seems very better that the one i missed : correct magazine catch and selectors, matching numbers, probably original front grip (?) but butt stock not correct... sincerely Paul

  16. I bought in 1999, and at this time the gunsmith did receive the guns directly with both conditions, some short barrels, some long. So my A1 has a factory short barrel. i also remember he had one with black woods.
