  1. I wouldn't sell mine that cheap! I finally decided to list it on GB and for the first time ever, there are 3 Norrell on GB for sale. That is crazy, took me forever to find mine. Anyway, house time, so time to let it go...
  2. If there is interest, I have a couple of short videos of it shooting but cannot get it to post. Don't know if the website allows or its just user error.
  3. Sorry, this update is long overdue. I finally found a Norrell trigger pack and bolt. Then I built the gun for it. It's an aftermarket stock with Magpul rear buttstock, Charger barrel cut down to 5.5" and threaded. Standard 10/22 receiver. Bought the can directly from John Norrell as I wanted the beefier look and his cans are rated full auto with very little cleaning unlike most other .22 cans. Inexpensive red dot site sits on top. Months and months of waiting on the NFA branch to approve th receiver as SBR, the can from John, and the trigger pack from a private purchase. Finally received all my stamps, built it and have been shooting for a few months. AND wow, what a gas!!!!!!! No recoil, fairly quiet and accurate! My wife and kids shoot it too. Everyone who shoots it "giggles." Well worth it and very glad I did it. FYI: a friend pointed out that with the mg trigger pack, I didn't have to technically SBR the receiver, BUT, I thought what if I pull the pack out and put it in one of the other 10/22 configured guns I have... Does this then become an unlicensed SBR? Hell, I don't know so I did it anyway. Besides, what if I later changed my mind and wanted to break this set up? At least this way I am legit and covered. Anyway, turns out it's a perfect setup and is super reliable with cci min mags, cci standard, Aguilar standard, and federal standard. No good with Remington or Winchester bulk ammo but nothing is!!! They are crap ammo. But everything else feeds well and very reliable. Oh, my pack has the little lever, not button and it is very easy to use without thinking. Highly recommend. Thanks!!!
  4. Bought this 6 months ago. Just got my stamp back. So I built the gun and popped in my new Norrell trigger pack. The gun is a 10/22 receiver, custom 5 inch barrel with Norrell .22 suppressor. Aftermarket stock made it all come together. Shot it Friday night for the first time. Wow, what a blast! Here's a clip. Enjoy!
  5. Yes it is crazy. I believe it's because other center fire SMG calibers like 9, 45, 556, 308, etc. have gotten so expensive at .40-$1 per round. Makes cci mini mags at .11 seem cheap! Thus the demand for a cheaper fun way to shoot full auto. Plus the 10/22 is SO customizable you can build FOUR diff setup hosts for $1500. How fun is that? So my Norrell pack is still in jail, but my hosts are built except for the last NFA item until any form1s come back. All my stuff should be approved a few weeks if the estimated times are right. So, next month I will probably start posting pics of my pack and the various hosts as everything reaches completion. Stay tuned...
  6. Yes. But in this case it is in a Krinkler kit. Basically the gun is only worth a couple hundred, you are paying all the money for the trigger pack with sear.... and the ATF paper that come with it saying its legal. $50 part, $19,000 piece of paper. What's so cool about these is you can get or build any 10/22 host gun in any config you like and in 2 minutes swap the trigger pack around in them for fun. My trigger pack should be released form atf jail within weeks. I've got 4 diff hosts waiting to try it out. Good luck, email me directly if you need more help as I rarely check this forum. My first post at the top has my email.
  7. Good luck, I can't wait for mine to get out of the ATF waiting period.
  8. Yes. Pre 1986, s&h made some auto sears for the 10/22. A very few others also made very small amounts, so the bulk were made by s&h, but still fairly few. I have never seen a total production number of how many transferable 10/22 Sears are out there but I don't think it's more than a few hundred.??? John Norrell did most of them and his are known as the most reliable so his are the sought after ones. Plus he is still in business so you could have it serviced if needed. So, Norrell bought the Sears and put them in the trigger packs and made them run right. The important part. So, fast forward to today. All you need is to find a pack and bolt (bolt modified by Norrell to make it run right) and it is a simple drop in on any 10/22 for full auto .22 fun. The cool part is the sear is the MG according to ATF so you can pop your sear pack in and out of any host you have in 2 minutes, so, since 10/22 are cheap guns, you can have several different configuration hosts. Of course, it is an NFA item so you have to do all the att paperwork. And naturally, they are expensive and kinda hard to find. Go to you tube, there are a dozen videos of guys shooting full auto 10/22. Happy Hunting!
  9. So I want a ww2 Thompson, want to shoot it some, but like it to look good and maintain value, if not increase. If I get bored with it 5-10 years down the road, I don't want to be stuck with a gun I cannot sell, or have to give away to get it sold. With that said, I like this Thompson currently on GB that is built on a Richardson receiver by R. Urich. It is nicely refinished, but I guess all the ww2 guns are, has some extras, and looks good. Will this maintain value, given its state? Or is it just a parts gun that I would have a tough time selling later! When I change interests? Bad deal, or reasonable way to have fun? The boards knowledge and thoughts are appreciated.
  10. That's true, but we were thinking we could have 2 or 3 different setups for the gun since they are so cheap to build and it would be a hoot to swap the pack between them for kicks. With a reg receiver, gun, that is more work. Besides, John is such a nice guy and good at what he did, and does, I wanted to stay with his product. Thanks, let me know if you hear of a fair priced sear pack. Thanks!
  11. Yes, John has been very helpful, but with him not releasing any more packs, I am still on the hunt for one.
  12. Thank you for asking this question! Called on a Machine gun, woman answered, was short, rude and seemed to lack knowledge past cursurary questions. Could not answer any real questions regarding a couple items on the website. Told they do not like to talk with customers on the phone and prefer to do everything by email and I would have to email any questions in to be answered. So, no clue as to customer service or even basic courtesy. Very short and rude, I was clearly bothering her by calling on a gun. Subsequently, emailed questions in and got short and generic responses instead of detailed answers to specific questions. Responses also used VERY crude language and were beyond unprofessional. After finally getting a couple prices, they were past reasonable overpriced. I.e.: 25-28K gun for 34k. I did not buy, will not buy, and will no longer look at their website. They don't care because currently demand outweighs supply, but when that changes (either by laws or economics) they will go out of business. Good riddance. No place for this firm among educated collectors and professionals with expendable cash for toys/investments. Now this is an accurate description of my experience, no matter how anyone would twist it. Period.
  13. I don't think he is selling anymore. Just repair work and other gunsmith work. Thus, I'm still looking for a reasonably priced nice unit. Tonyg289@gmail.com
  14. It appears as those that Mr. Norrell doesn't have any others to part with. I have communicated with him via email and he has been more than generous with his time and information, but no packs. He will repair them, but that's it, he does other gun work now, mostly explained on his website. I'll keep looking for a transferable pack or transferable receiver. Please email me if anyone has a lead.
  15. Why do think it's so tricky finding a good Norrell 10/22 trigger pack and bolt? I'm on the search and not getting lucky yet. Passed on two second rate ones that were overpriced. I know quite a few were made pre 86, I think collectors are hoarding? Let me know if you have one, I'm a buyer if nice condition and fair priced. Thx. Tonyg289@gmail.com
