I've just completed (I still have to do cosmetics) a BM59 with the exception of a few issues I was hoping someone could help me with. I milled out an M1 USGI receiver and shortened a barrel for a Numrich BM59 kit. I don't understand the select fire lever. I'm not trying to make it full auto, but in order to keep the front mag catch sleeve in place I wanted to install the selector lever. I have the pocket milled in the right side and opened up the left side pocket for the lever clearance itself. If I thin the front mag catch up enough for what I'm assuming is the retention clip that pivots around on the lever, the mag catch tab will be too thin. Additionally, doing that still doesn't explain the selector stop. I'm familiar with the lower bands you can buy that use a roll pin, but I'd like to understand the band clamp. Right now its on with friction, but I suspect I needed to add a groove.
