  1. Got one from OOO at the creek ~20 yrs ago. Put 7000+ rnds of factory 45 acp (rem, american eagle) over time through it. On my 2nd firing pin - using a titanium one off GB. Ran it this past summer. One of my favorites.
  2. With a surplus M1928A1 Lyman rear sight -- to put one on a 1970s production West Hurley -- you need to gracefully punch from the top down through the receiver the 4 "pins"?
  3. Well. I appreciate the advice. That got me out of my issue. I replaced the disconnector spring; reassembled and then -- locked again. This time .. wiggling the trip helped me unlock it again. Seems that the sear isn't fully disappearing with trigger function. More springs! Thank you all that wrote in -- appreciate the support from the community. God bless America!
  4. I was firing my gun fine a few trips to the range. I noticed the last trip when moving between semi and full I had the occasion where after a few bursts the bolt locked to the rear. The magazine was still full. I was able to apply enough pressure and finally release it. This last trip; I was trying to reproduce the conditions. I took a video but can't figure out how to add it here as "media"... Anyway, 30 round Seymour in the gun.... first few pops on semi - no problem. Switched to full and got off a few short burst and now (mag not empty) the bolt is locked to the rear. I cannot release the bolt. The trigger will not allow the bolt to come forward. I can't pull off the bottom group - just locked to the rear as tight as can be. Thank you
  5. Good evening. First 1928... Have a 1970's 10XXA 1928 and when flipping between semi and full have experienced the bolt locking back... Is the locked bolt always a sign of weak disconnector? I have a movie of it happening on the line but can't attach it here. Thank you for the help!
  6. Got my M50 at KCR from OOW in 2003ish; I had put about 6,000 rounds through it before the pin broke The pin from "birth" was a clean break (see attached photo). I was firing at the range and it just stopped; shaking the gun made a distinctive clacking sound; came home and discovered a freshly shortened pin. Replaced with titanium pin from GunBroker auction. That was 2012 when it broke; just put 200 rounds through it today. Maybe now at another 4,000 for a total of 10,000 rounds total in my life. The pin and the action bar have failed. Otherwise.... I love mine. She's old but she can certainly rock and roll.
  7. I humbly ask the experts, is the action bar worth trying to repair? If so - who is the best to perform this? I replaced it but the original one looks best. It runs again but the snap was pretty interesting. Just stopped shooting and could not charge it back. Thought it was the firing pin (which I also have experienced) - disassembled to find this break in the bar. Thank you.
