  1. Found a 1st Generation M96 rifle for a really good price that's still hasn't been used. I'm aware that some of the 1st Gen. rifles had some issues with the bolt carrier and gas system, but it's still slightly unclear to me as to what was all changed with them when they were updated. Does anyone know of any necessary replacements or upgrades I should make to it before taking it out to the range? With RA bringing back a short run of them, I'm hoping they will have a supply of spare parts available again so I could make these upgrades myself.
  2. Hey ya'll, Been trying to find some parts for a Colt M231 Port-Firing Weapon and have been having a hell of a time, so I thought I would put the word out here as well. I've specifically been looking for the end cap assembly for an M231 Buffer tube. I already have the tube, but I need the end-cap that threads into the end of it with the recoil spring guide still attached. I'm also trying to find the retainer plate that holds in the selector spring. I know there's a few reproductions floating around out there. Let me know if you happen to have one of these parts or know someone who might have them. Thanks!
  3. Not sure how recent this is, but I thought some of you guys might be interested in this: Howell Arms who does the cartridge conversions for the old west black powder revolvers now offers some parts and services for Thompsons as well. While it looks like they are mostly focusing on blank-firing parts for re-enactment, they also offer a Reduced Power or "EZ-Pull" spring kit for the semi-auto Thompsons. Might be a good option for others looking to reduce the force needed to pull back the charging handle on their semi-auto Thompson. I just got one for my Khar TM1 Thompson and it is a huge improvement over the springs that it comes with. 4. Thanks for the info, I was looking at the barrels on Numrich originally, but I wasn't 100% sure if a "full-auto" barrel would work in a semi-auto carbine.
  5. I've had a TM1 Thompson Carbine by Khar since 2016 and I only recently sent in a Form 1 to SBR it. The Form 1 is approved, but I still haven't gotten a barrel for it yet or figured out who I want to help with the barrel swap. I just had a quick question as to what barrels are compatible with it or which ones would be the best for an accurate Thompson M1A1 reproduction? I also thought I heard that Khar changed the threads on their barrels so that they will not work with USGI barrels. Is there a difference between a barrel for a semi-auto Thompson vs. a full-auto Thompson? Any help would be appreciated.
