  1. Back from the range and all went better than usual. 75 rounds with 8 failures to feed. Much better than last time out! I'll keep working on it...
  2. TM1 still not running reliably. I've polished and lubed everything that moves in it. After researching magazine fixes here in this forum I found the following issue with my magazine: The areas pointed out by the top two arrows are the contours of the feed lips which appear to properly confirm to the cartridge contours. The areas pointed out by the bottom two arrows are the "throat" of the feed area which I found to be too tight so I opened them up a bit with needle nose pliers and polished all the edges with a Dremel. Dummy rounds now glide out of the magazine effortlessly with thumb pressure, which they didn't before. I'll be making another trip to the range today and will report back here...
  3. While servicing my TM1, looking for possible reasons for all the misfeeds yesterday, I saw a flat or bent area of the bolt face at about the 7 o'clock position. I've attached a photo to show what I'm speaking of. Is this a defect from the factory or is this the normal configuration of the bolt face? No, I didn't drop the bolt - LOL. Here's a better photo:
  4. I'll be tearing her down today and performing the "fixes" ya'll suggested. I'll report back here after my next range trip. Thanks... P.S. What seems to be the best ammo to use?
  5. Just got home from the range and I'm not a happy camper! I fired 30 rounds of Remington factory 230 grain FMJ and 30 rounds of Federal factory 230 grain FMJ, all from the factory 30 round stick magazine. No reloads. All rounds were brass cased. Accuracy was surprisingly good from the fixed sight at 25 yards. However, out of the 60 rounds fired, I experienced approximately 50 failures to chamber with only one (1) failure to extract. All other empty cases ejected properly. What the heck is going on here? Could the bolt be NOT cycling fully? Could the feed ramp be too rough? I've recreated the FTFs in the attached photo. Any help will be greatly appreciated...
  6. After a few hours of careful filing and honing my frame & receiver now glide together like glass. No sloppiness. Very happy now. Heading for the range soon. Thanks all...
  7. I am most likely gonna SBR my TM1. I am familiar with the Form 1 process having already SBR'd an AR-15. My question is this: Where on the receiver did you have your name, city and state engraved? A photo would be nice. Thanks in advance... P.S. Who did your rebarreling?
  8. Yes, I did all that. It would not separate by pulling on the grip. It took a few pretty good blows with a heavy rubber mallet to get them to even begin to separate at all. I'll look for burrs and go at it with my fine flat files and report back. Thanks!
  9. On my brand new TM1 I had to use a rubber mallet to separate the frame from the receiver. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do about it? Thanks in advance...
  10. Thanks guys. I have now ordered the extended bolt handle from Kahr and have sent a PM to Deerslayer about the EZ-Pull Spring Kit.
  11. Hey all. I am a brand new member of this forum and this is my first post. I just bought a new Kahr AO TM1 (all steel) and found that the bolt springs are so strong that I cannot fully cock the firearm without placing the buttplate on the floor and pushing very hard on the bolt handle. This cannot be correct, is it? Is there a remedy to this, such as installing weaker springs and/or cutting-off a small amount of these springs? Anxious for your replies...
