  1. Thanks Mike - I have sent it in advance to you us you should get it in 3 days. Great Rifles~! Just imagine telling your grandchildren that you had one back in the glory days of the USA~!
  2. The FBI agent "FBI Bob" was a small unit commander in the Marines in Viet Nam, a lawyer who was CO of the hostage rescue team for the FBI. Just watch Bob shoot. Look at the muzzle. The girl did pretty well for a novice. I didn't want to get some guy that spends hours in the gym that could fire a mortar from his knee cap. Anyway, the have sold well enough and are nearly done. We had a ball and I had nothing better to do.
  3. And if I had asked her to, then she probably would have. However, her father (my HS friend) and her husband would have drowned me in a bucket....anyway, at least you watched it.
  4. Her stance was different. It was her natural reaction. I didn't have the ability to edit this, so it was kind of flawed in that respect. I thought about just doing a close up of the muzzle with and w/o the brake with a reference board behind it, but then I would have had to come up with a rest / brace for the rifle that would move freely from a neutral position. I picked a pretty girl instead. Oh well...
  5. it was an experiment. If you just want to shoot from the hip at 20 to 50 yards, then this is a waste of money. If you want all the bullets to go as directed from 100 yards out, this works (providing you know how to shoot for effect).
  6. It was an experiment. Ranges of 100 yards out, it does make a difference. If you want to just shoot from the hip, then you are right and this is not for you
  7. Well, I thought about a long sleeve like the 1918 and the Monitor. But I wanted to e the blast and doing radially was most effective and I didn't have to index it. With the saddle washer, I could not count on the sight coming to the 12 o'clock position.
  8. It was an experiment. I was shooting off hand at 200 yards at a military bullseye (about a foot in diameter). I could get 17 out of a 20 round burst in the black. I guess I could have developed an app for opening a can of tuna, but this was more interesting.
  9. I have reduced the price to $75 shipped. Look, I was bored and had access to the NC Army National Guard Range at Butner NC (this was before we lost the war on terror, or whatever they call it now). It was an experiment that worked better than I thought.
  10. Yes. Just like being a teenager again when I thought every corvette came with a pretty girl. If I had asked her to put on a bikini, then either her husband or her dad (my HS buddy) would have drowned me in a bucket. So, if I had gotten some mug who spends 4 hr /day in the gym, would you have found that to be more attractive?
  11. If you are interested in getting all of the bullets to go where you want them to, then this brake will do that. Most of the BAR demos i have seen show shooters firing from the hip as though they were lighting a box of firecrackers.
  12. Because you would have to index it. I tried it and it didnt work as well as the one on the market.
  13. I really love all this old iron! What a wonderful country that will allow a Quaker like me, all full of love for my fellow man, to own a piece of history that one day may pay for an AI implant that will take me back to 1972 so that I can marry that little green-eyed, red-haired Colleen and have a swam of kids that I can mould into a circus that will keep me laughing all the way to the looney bin~~!

Argh! time to hit the hay.......

  14. Hi folks, I have a 1928A1 one of the last West Hurley's made. Not a problem to take out and tap for the proper bolts for the sights, but not sure how to go about getting the Cutts pinned. Any suggestions for a "how to" or someone that can do the work without any scratches? Many thanks
