  1. EE on AR15.com in the M1a section. No relation. Currently he wants $1850
  2. Nice rifle to start with! I have four and have not seen one of those for sale yet. Currently Andy has lowered his last 3 or so folders to the mid $200's I paid more but had pick of the litter.
  3. Pete: Pictures please! 37 years? They will be falling out of the sky now. Maybe I could get one of those....

  10. Why does everything happen all at once? Or nothing at all? I just made an offer, which was accepted, for the "Unfired Baretta Garand" sn 105, no import marks" that went up for sale on M14 Forums. Last thing I need are deals I can't pass up. Please send me your spare blinders and strait jacket. ARDog
  11. Roll call! Lately I haven't seen much avilable plus I just sank a ton into what I have. I have spent another 15K on Garands and M14's I suddenly had to have since the italian stuff. They were once in a lifetime deals I tell myself lol. I have some Italian Garand projects to get to as well. For me this is a lifetime hobby until I can no longer enjoy them. I plan on tinkering for at least another 20 years. No hurry. I have at least 10 years of projects worked out and the materials for them. This is a rare site and worth waiting. If it wasn't here, we would not even have the handful of enthusiasts we have now communicating. A week ago I bought my own fort knox to display them all so no way have I slowed. Except I am broke with the new place and work that needs to be done getting in there. Be patient and I will get pics up. It will take 2 months to do this and all the racks will not be ready then. Just security details that make it safe for my family.
  12. Sellers market. You have to be a hawk waiting for them to appear and hope the guy doesn't think he has a gold bar to sell. I have been traveling on work assignment and missed anything last week.
  13. Well at least now I know to look for them. Promise to report back. ARDog
  14. Vic Try www.photobucket.com I'm your buddy. lol ARDog
  15. Want to trade for USGI or Danes? I have a ton of slings and no Italian. ARDog
  16. Missing a gas system on the Breda Garand. I have plenty of USGI but don't know for sure what I need for an Italian part. Worst case i will get it together with GI parts and substitute as parts surface. The fuzzy dog is a Llasa-Poodle mix at the end of her winter haircut. Yeah, I got an AR before the ban and it turned out being an accident on the carpet after I touched the wood stocked big brothers. Have a few M14's and Garands Here is an old family photo. I hope to add the rest in a photo this spring. Need to rent some Hubble/Keyhole time for the photo op... http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/brookschristopher/Family%20Photos/LargeRifleFamily025.jpg ARDog
  17. lol, is that all you have, what no BM62! No, not yet. Not exactly growing on trees these days. If it wasn't for a very few bitten and kind sellers, I wouldn't have this stuff. I am looking and in spite of WTT and WTB ads, nothing else has surfaced except gunbroker or other auctions. Auctions are my last choice. I would rather wait patiently for stuff to show up. I am in no hurry, just my normal OCD ARDog
  18. BM59's bit me last october. Then Italian Garands. Missing from photo: 1 one arm folding stock 1 unfinished Nigerian stock 1 New barrel from Reese, maybe two a few scattered mags a very pristine Beretta Garand, correct as far as I know if there is such a think. Everything clean and marked PB a variety of italian Garand parts here and there I have a varied order with Andy (jeez and tentative anymore) in Italy and waiting for his buddy to come back from traveling or something. Possibly avoiding me after I bought a few thousand dollars worth of Garand small parts right when the dollar dropped like an anchor. A new springfield box with all tags and small stuff, very pristine. You never know what I've forgotten. I suprise myself. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/brookschristopher/BM59%20Stash/BM59Stash003.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/brookschristopher/BM59%20Stash/BM59Stash020.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/brookschristopher/BM59%20Stash/BM59Stash015.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/brookschristopher/BM59%20Stash/BM59Stash014.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/brookschristopher/BM59%20Stash/BM59Stash011.jpg
  19. Found this PDF file from Small Arms Review to add to my info stash. Beretta Type E Garand
  20. Did you see SN 0147 on GB? Beretta BM62 Folding Stock BM59 BM 62 59 Preban #1 Item # 91382868
  21. Andy from Italy has them I think on GB. Listed as "M1 GARAND OP ROD SPRING FOR BM59 NEW" Not sure about having Garand and BM59 in the same listing. What does that mean? They are $25 clams to boot (plus shipping from Italy of $7.00)
  22. That's a great question Mike considering how they are difficult to find. I have two oprods and only one spare spring which I believe to be new. The spring measures exactly 18". I am looking for enough parts to complete rifles myself. I also think it will be hard to find someone who knows of the spring characteristics or the experience of doing this before. I think I would try a cut down in a heartbeat if the action feels right when assembled. Keep us posted please.
