  1. I've twice turned down $9k for my tube MP38 in the last month. Rarity, even of the tube guns, drives the prices up.
  2. It is. That was my best guess as well as the clip seems to be the same type as found on para lanyards.
  3. Here is a reference photo for you: http://members.aol.com/luftwaffefeld/safety.jpg Here's one in use. Surprisingly, the gun looks like a fairly straight-up MP40: http://www.angelfire.com/tn3/luftwaffefeld/original/032001.jpg
  4. Ok, this is the cover that I am referencing. http://members.aol.com/luftwaffefeld/cover.jpg http://members.aol.com/luftwaffefeld/cover1.jpg
  5. Does anyone know what the spring clip on the MP40 cloth cover was for? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif
  6. Does anyone know when production stopped on the MP38? Surprisingly, the lower on my MP38 is a "ayf 41". I would have never expected this.
  7. I thought that the MP38/40 was the transitional piece that took place because of the safety issues associated with the original MP38? The /40 (also I think called a II) supposedly adds the push-pull bolt and the safety notch. I purchased one of the Inland Arms MP38's about 4 years ago. It came in with a MP38 tube, but a matching MP40 kit. It ran very poorly. Like yours, it was registered as a MP38. A friend helped me find a m/m MP38 kit which I swapped out on the tube. Surprisingly, it runs like a sewing machine on the MP38 kit. It's a sweet, very uncommon gun.
