Hi Dan Welcome to the forum. When comes to modifying magazines, it is best to modify the magazine catch rather than the magazine itself. Magazine are becoming harder to fine and are costing more to buy. It cost less for a magazine catch that a magazine. The mod is easy and can be found on this forum. It you can try this rather than modifying any more magazines. Just my 2 cents. Your idea I have not heard of rounding the magazine. Marcus

Hi folks Will a GI type I or Type II interchange with Auto Ordnance M1 Carbine? I dont have mine yet, it's on the way. I bought a M1 Paratrooper carbine version, I have read all the report on this and have already ordered a new GI mag catch and GI return spring, oh and a early slide also. Any other advise would be greatly appreciated. I also have 2 other A.O. Thompson that are SBR, on these to I did alot of moding and these run like a charm. I dont mind that i have to tweaking these to me its part of the fun of owing

Hi Guys i just finished my semi 1928a1. I used a 1928A1 lower and mod the lower and the barrel is one that i got from Philadelphia Ordnance. I will add more pics later..,

See if the magazine catch has been motified to take orginal mags.

Go with the Steel you want be disappointed.
