  1. MRJ, Thank you for the added information. I would love to buy this BM59 but I feel they are waiting to get more out of me. I'll sit it out for now. My M14 & M1 garand should hit the spot for now. If I end up getting it I'll share the information on the BM59. Thanks again. 2. Hi MRJ, Thanks for the reply. I should have wrote down all the information on the rifle when I had it in my hands. Before I made this post I called the gun store and got the information that I posted here via the phone. Top of receiver has the Cal. markings then Springfield Armory then the serial number. I don't recall the Beretta marking on the heel and when I spoke to the salesman & he stated that the above marking is all that he sees on top of receiver. But I think he did say there was a “t†inside a circle but I have not confirmed this. Would the "T" in a circle indicate that it's a Mark IV ? I'm not sure if the salesman said the left side of the receiver or a part on the left side of the receiver was marked "PB BM59" Top of bolt marked PB BM59 and some numbers followed that. Bipod marked at base BM58. I was just wondering if the wood stock itself had any markings on it and not the folding metal stock. The folding metal stock was of a 2 piece and not one piece as seen on the RSI site. I would take the trip back to the gun store and confirm the markings but as of yesterday the salesman did not call me back with my offer of $2100 for the BM59. My offered amount does include NY State sales tax of 8.75. It's such a nice looking rifle and in excellent cond. but I don't really want to over pay for it. 3. Hi everyone, I was doing some searching on the net for some information on a BM59 that I ran into at the local gun store today. I was wondering if someone could help me out with this one. The local gun shop has a Springfield Armory BM59, cal. 308, folding stock, serial# 00002xx for sale in excellent used cond. for $2400 neg. It's a consigned rifle. I held it today and it sure looks and feels nice. It also has a bipod on it and comes with a few pouches attached to a belt and marked 5-18. Included are 3 mags marked "BP bm59". Bipod is marked bm59 and the top of bolt is marked PB bm59 with some other numbers. Side of the receiver is also marked PB bm59. Rifle has a flashhider and I was told the rifle can launch grenades. It has a folding stock. No sling. What are they worth? How do they shoot? Should the stock have any markings on it? Thanks for any help you can give me.
