    The only paperwork they have is from a private individual to the Sheriff Department around June 1956. I didn't know anyone had to do transfers till 1968!

    My friend the local Sheriff was kind enough to pull this out for me to look at Thompson #AOC1C. It was transferred to them in 1956. If anyone can share any info on it they would appreciate it.

    You make a good point Jim, I have reloading equipment but haven't reloaded for years. I probably won't shoot this high condition Colt that much maybe 1000 rounds a year who knows! I've never owned one before!

    On the advice of forum members I have been looking for Winchester ammo. Just picked up 800 rounds and they had plenty more, so nice to see ammo on the shelf again!

    You made a good point Darryl, I had a health scare about 2 years ago! Until I can find a shooter I will make sure I keep the Colt parts bagged and marked "Keep with the Thompson" and my wife and my FFL shooting buddy know not to separate from the gun.

    Thanks TD! I will think about changing the barrel, but will listen to input from the members. Also, I'm only going to run factory ammo in it. Anybody have ideas on what brands run best? I may get to go visit and shoot my 21 next weekend.
